Tedeschi Trucks Band To Release Live Album On 22 May

Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi most recently shared the stage with EC (and a whole host of other musicians) this past February at the Howlin’ For Hubert tribute concert in New York City. Over the years, they’ve jammed at several other events, including EC’s Crossroads Guitar Festival and at NYC’s Beacon Theater during the Allman Brothers Band 40th Anniversary Concerts in 2009. In 2006/2007, Derek joined EC’s band for a world-wide tour. He's also joined EC in the studio. The husband-wife team front the two-year old Tedeschi Trucks Band, known as TTB to their legion of fans. Their first live album, Everybody's Talkin', is out 22 May on Sony Masterworks.

The band marked their first anniversary with a "Best Blues Album" Grammy win for their debut album, Revelator. As the lengthy Revelator World Tour wound down, the band decided to record their October 2011 concerts in the highest quality possible. Their foresight paid off as the group turned in several of their most powerful performances in the band’s history. From that fruitful run of shows comes Everybody's Talkin', a two-disc set (also available on vinyl) that captures the collective spirit and lift of a typical TTB concert - raising the roof with a Saturday night sense of abandon, before gently concluding with a Sunday morning spiritual.

The eleven tracks on Everybody’s Talkin’ are a hearty blend of originals and spirited covers of rock, R&B and gospel classics that capture the group’s roots-rich musical mix. There's also one new track - “Nobody’s Free”. The songs are laced with Truck’s signature slide-guitar sound and fronted by Tedeschi’s pliant, honey-to-husky voice (as well as her own gritty guitar-work).

Everybody's Talkin' can be pre-ordered directly from the TTB Store. All pre-order customers will receive a bonus downloadable live track of one of TTB's explosive encores, a medley of two Sly & The Family Stone songs, "Simple Song > Take You Higher." Pre-Order customers will also have the chance to win an exciting prize package that includes a pair of tickets to any TTB concert after 15 June during their 2012 tour, a special meet-and-greet with Derek and Susan, and a Gibson SG Special guitar autographed by Derek and Susan. Five second-prize winners will receive a signed vinyl copy of Everybody's Talkin'.

"Driving Towards The Daylight" (Erscheinungstermin 18.05.2012)!
